The wrangler jeep commercial for 2013 super bowl was one of my favorites. The nature of the brand was that Jeep is "the best of what were made of " meaning this truck is what americans need and the goverment should invest to insure safety for our military. This ad was clever to use difrentitation and distinction when it came to the families in the video. Showing that they support of all race and genders missing their loved ones, living or deseased. Strategicly, they created hope through out the commericial by showing jeep is the safest choice and will bring our troops home. Wrangler supports our heros so they target the military and their families. They also felt it was important to show husband and wives coming home safely, getting out of a jeep. Using Oprah, a voice of power to state "when you are home, we are more then just a family, we are a nation " it made a strong statement. Then right at the end they hit you one more with " Proudly supporting our nations heros". Usually I feel advertisements that target our troops are just going through the motions but this had a strong message and they made their point. If I was a military wife I would want a jeep to make me feel a sense of security, like a part of my husband was with me. They were very smart to position this commericial right in the middle of the super bowl, they had millions of views attention because they were not missing the end of a championship game.
