Week1,My Voice, EOC

I live by a quote I read by Zig Ziglar “Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes.” I have capitalized on opportunities that has come my way and surrounds me every day. I am so in love with the fashion industry because it has so many different prospects. I am someone who gets bored very easily. That is why I have worked for different companies trying to find my place in the world. I have been in retail management for over 10yrs. I adore that fact that I can express myself and concepts in my day to day life. Most have heard the saying, “You know you love what you do, when you will do it for free”. With just that fact, I have influenced several people’s lives around me. I now know, I am in the right place, at the right time, in my life. Boredom will no longer be an option due to the fact I can travel through fashion. I am experienced in merchandising, fascinated by styling, and want to be more knowledgeable in  organizing closets. Within all of this, shoes and consulting one about their image is what I am most passionate about. I know I am good at this because most stylists want to change ones image and I just want to enhance it.  I do not care about labels; I care how garments fit on one’s body. We do not pick our body types but we can pick the appropriate attire. When it comes to shoes it can really make or break ones ensemble, especially if  the hair, silhouette, and everything else is right. One’s body is the book, their head is the beginning, the outfit is the middle, and the shoes plus accessories is the end. It has to make for a good read or one will look away.
